This website is operated by Myradiologist Technology Co Pty Ltd (ABN 50 680 348 172). By using healthyheartcompass.ai you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. Medical disclaimer

This website provides general health information only. It is not medical advice.

Nothing on this site, including the articles, the risk calculator and any results it produces, takes account of your individual health, history, medications or circumstances. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment recommendation, and not a substitute for assessment by a qualified health practitioner who knows you.

Always consult your doctor before making any decision about your health, and before starting, stopping or changing any medication or treatment. Never delay seeking medical advice because of something you read here.

Using this website does not create a doctor-patient relationship between you and us, or between you and any practitioner named on it.

3. About the risk calculator

The risk calculator is an educational tool. It applies published, population-derived risk equations to the information you enter. You should understand that:

• it gives a statistical estimate for a group of people like you, and is not a prediction about you as an individual;
• a low estimate does not mean you will not have a heart attack or stroke, and a high estimate does not mean you will;
• it cannot detect existing disease, and it is not a diagnostic test;
• its accuracy depends entirely on the accuracy of what you enter; and
• it is not a substitute for clinical assessment, examination or investigation.

The calculator runs entirely in your web browser. We do not receive, see or store what you enter. Results are not saved. If you close or refresh the page, they are gone. Discuss any result with your doctor before acting on it.

4. Information about medicines and procedures

Where this site mentions medicines, tests or procedures, it does so for general education only. It is not a recommendation to use them, an offer to supply them, and not advertising of any therapeutic good.

Availability, suitability, subsidy and safety differ between individuals and change over time. Some treatments discussed may not be approved or available in Australia, or may be approved only for specific circumstances. Only your treating doctor can advise what is appropriate for you.

5. Accuracy and currency

We take care to ensure information is accurate and reflects current evidence at the time of writing, and clinical content is reviewed by a qualified medical practitioner. Medical knowledge changes. We do not warrant that all content is complete, current or error-free, and we may change it at any time without notice. Where a review date is shown, information should be read as current to that date only.

6. Acceptable use

You may use this site for your own personal, non-commercial information. You must not use it unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation or security, use it to transmit malicious code, or scrape or systematically extract its content. You must not rely on this site to provide health advice to any other person in a professional capacity.

All content on this site, including text, graphics, illustrations, logos, layout and code, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Certain medical illustrations are reproduced with permission and remain the property of their author.

Appointment enquiries are handled by telephone. Making an enquiry does not create a booking or any obligation on us to provide services. Clinical services are provided by the treating practitioner or practice, subject to their own terms, fees and privacy arrangements.

10. Liability

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where we are permitted to limit liability for a service, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law: we provide this site as is; we do not warrant it will be uninterrupted or error-free; and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or the calculator, including indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
